ROLL CALL

You can't win unless you show up. Be at court on time.

The clerk will call the roll to determine which defendants are present, and which witnesses for the prosecution (i.e., the cops) are present or available.

If you are there and the officer isn't, you will almost certainly have your case dismissed.

After the roll call, the judge will come in and have the clerk swear in the witnesses.

Now you get to wait until the judge calls your case and the prosecution presents its witness(es).
